报告题目:Supersymmetric Path Integral and Chern Character

摘要: The work of Witten, Alvarez-Gaume, Atiyah and Bismut reveals how the celebrated Atiyah-Singer index theorem can be formally derived from supersymmetric path integral, more precisely, integral over super loop space. The Chern character, the fundamental functor from K theory to cohomology, appears in the Atiyah-Singer index theorem. In this talk, we will show that led by the supersymmetric path integral quantization, the Chern characters (ordinary, equivariant and twisted) can be identified with various super holonomy in gauge theory. These represent our joint work with Daniel Berwick-Evans and with Varghese Mathai.
