摘要:It is well known that topological excitations in a 2d topological order form a unitary modular tensor category (UMTC). But it is not so well known that a UMTC is only a local concept, which does not make sense globally. For example, the double braiding does not make sense on the 2-sphere. In this talk, I will explain how to integrate local observables, i.e. a UMTC, to obtain global observables (topological invariants) by the theory of factorization homology. I will also generalize the result to multi-phases separated by gapped domain walls. Mathematically, it amounts to compute the factorization homology on a stratified closed surfaces with i-strata decorated by i-dimnesional topological orders satisfying certain anomaly-free condition.
