Abstract:

In this talk, we would like to report conclusions on characterizations for the extremum values of the functional of mixed eigenvalues of the Laplacian on triangles (or trapezoids) in the Euclidean plane, which directly lead to several spectral isoperimetric inequalities for a class of mixed eigenvalue problems. This talk is based on a recent joint-work with my student Dr. Ruifeng Chen.
