报告摘要：This talk surveys the construction, properties, and applications of generalized barycentric coordinates on polygons and polyhedra. Applications include: surface mesh parameterization in geometric modelling; image, curve, and surface deformation in computer graphics; and polygonal and polyhedral finite element methods.

个人简介：Michael S. Floater is a professor at Department of Mathematics, University of Oslo, Norway. His main research in recent years has been focused on numerical methods for interpolation and approximation. Such methods include data-fitting with polynomials, piecewise polynomials (splines), and rational functions, and the use of recursive subdivision, parameterization, and GBC's. He is on the editorial boards of CAGD, BIT Numerical mathematics, and CALCOLO.
