摘要：During these lectures I will introduce the class of rationally connected varieties, roughly those projective manifolds satisfying a weak version of positive curvature.  I will also introduce a stronger notion, "rationally simply connected" varieties that capture a "higher" notion of positive curvature.  I will explain various theorems about the properties and classification of these projective manifolds, but the focus will be on theorems of Graber-Harris-Starr, de Jong-Starr, and deJong-He-Starr proving existence of rational points for such varieties defined over various non-algebraically closed fields.
