Title： On the number of Sylow subgroups in finite groups

Abstract. Denote by n_p(G) the number of Sylow p-subgroups of a finite group G. It is not hard to see that n_p(H) is not greater than n_p(G) for every subgroup H of G. However in general n_p(H) does not divide n_p(G). We show that n_p(H) divides n_p(G) for every subgroup H of a finite group G if for every nonabelian composition factor the same property holds.
