摘要:Over the past two decades, tremendous progress has been made in AdS/CFT duality and noncommutative geometry in string theory. Ten years ago, a beautifully written formula, namely the famous Ryu-Takayanagi formula (RT-formula) was introduced to compute the entanglement entropy in the holographic context via calculating the minimal value of the area functional (extremal surface). In this talk, we are going to revisit RT-formula and discuss the holographic entanglement entropy in a noncommutative gauge field theory. Aspects of computing the entanglement entropy at finite temperature and some outlooks will also be given.
