内容提要:
In this talk, we present a sparse grid DG method solving high-dimensional linear transport equations with variable coefficients. The scheme is based on the DG weak formulation coupled with a sparse grid finite element space. We prove L2 stability and error estimates, showing the superiority of the method in saving computational cost for high-dimensional equations. The scheme is then applied to kinetic transport equations. Conservation properties and other aspect of numerical performance are validated by benchmark test problems.
