摘  要:In a commutative ring R in characteristic p>o, one can view R as an R-module via the Frobenius map (which sends every element in R to its pth power). Avramov and Miller showed that over a complete intersection ring in characteristic p, this special module admits a so-called Tor rigidity property. We will discuss this property and show how this property can be applied to recover a result of Deligne about the torsion-freeness of some Picard groups. We will also show that this property does not generalize to Gorenstein rings in general. This is joint work with Dao and Miller.
