荷兰代尔夫特理工大学是世界上顶尖的理工大学之一。代尔夫特理工大学位于荷兰代尔夫特市，是荷兰历史最悠久、规模最大、专业涉及范围最广、最具有综合性的理工大学，其专业几乎涵盖了所有的工程科学领域，被誉为“欧洲的麻省理工”。其高质量的教学、科研水平在荷兰国内和国际上都具有极高的知名度。

数学系简介：

Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics (DIAM) is the mathematics instituteof Delft University of Technology.It is situated within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science. DIAM isorganized in six research groups:

• Analysis

• Applied Probability

• Mathematical Physics

• Numerical Analysis

• Optimization

• Statistics

These research groups will be further introduced in this brochure. The institute has many contacts with otheracademic institutions and companies.The research environment at DIAM is quite international. This can be seen in the background of facultymembers and PhD students, but also in the many international research collaborations that exist. Often,these collaborations exist on a personal level. DIAM wishes to also broaden these collaborations to the levelof mathematics institutes.
