In this survey talk, we will explore various relations between the Galois cohomological properties and the Diophantine properties of fields. We will mainly focus on how rational points and zero-cycles behave on homogeneous spaces of linear algebraic groups and on low-degree hypersurfaces over fields with low cohomological dimension.
