Abstract：We will discuss some unique-continuation results which ensure the propagation of symmetry and other geometric features (e.g., warped product structures) forward and backward from a single time-slice of a Ricci flow to the entire solution. We will then discuss some applications of these results to the classification problem for shrinking Ricci solitons.
