摘要:This mini-course focuses on the global aspects of linear waves, which contain asymptotic behavior of waves when they approach space-time infinities in various ways. The nonlinear behavior can thus be obtained through suitable iteration schemes. The underlying analysis tool for this is a combination of high-frequency microlocal analysis and normal operator analysis, with the former encoding regularities and the latter capturing decay via spectral methods. I will start from the scalar case, move on to the tensorial case, and, if time permits, talk about gauge issues for some geometric equations, including the Einstein equation in general relativity.
