Jingrun Chen, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Mathematical Sciences at the main campus of the University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei) and at the School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (in preparation) at the Suzhou Institute for Advanced Study (Suzhou). He has been selected in the National Youth Program for Overseas High-level Talents. His research primarily involves mathematical modeling, analysis, algorithms, and applications related to material properties (including material mechanics, material magnetism, and material electrical and optical properties); numerical solutions of partial differential equations and machine learning; multi-scale physical modeling and machine learning; image and video processing, and their applications in materials and medical imaging.
