摘要:

A knot is an embedded circle in the ambient space. The primary goal of Knot Theory is to classify knots up to isotopy using invariants. We will define the two most famous polynomial knot invariants : the Alexander polynomial and the Jones polynomial. We will explain why the second one has quantum flavour while the first one has classical construction. We will finally present some results showing that quantum invariants can also be obtained from classical algebraic topology.
