Abstract:In these lectures we first introduce the Gauss-Bonnet-Chern curvature, which is a generalization of the scalar curvature, and then use it to define a new mass for AF and AH manifolds. This mass relates many geometric quantities. We will talk about their relations and establish geometric inequalities, especially the Alexandrov-Fenchel inequalities in the hyperbolic space. (Lectures are based on the joint work with Yuxin Ge, Jie Wu and also Chao Xia)
