Abstract：The Fu-Yau equation, proposed in 2008 by J.X. Fu and S.T. Yau, is a complex Hessian type equation with special structures, motivated by the study of the Hull-Strominger system from theoretical physics. In this talk, we will discuss a recent joint work with D.Phong and S. Picard, in which we solve the Fu-Yau equation for arbitrary dimension and arbitrary slope parameter. Actually, we obtain the existence of smooth solutions for a family of Hessian equations which includes the Fu-Yau equation as a special case.
